How Electrolysis Works

Electrolysis at Flawless Electrolysis is a precise and effective method for permanent hair removal. It targets the root cause of unwanted hair growth, ensuring lasting results. Here's a closer look at the process:

Consultation: Your journey begins with a personalized consultation with me, Kiersten, your certified electrologist. I will assess your hair and skin type, discuss your goals, and create a customized treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. We will also discuss and differentiate three different types of current (electrolysis, thermolysis, and blend) and choose the one that will be most beneficial to you.

During your consultation, we’ll discuss your health history to ensure that electrolysis is a safe and appropriate option for you. This is not a medical diagnosis but a way to identify any conflicting or contraindicated medical limitations that may affect you during the electrolysis process.

Insertion: Using a sterile, hair-thin probe, I will gently insert it into the natural opening of your hair follicle. This precise insertion ensures that the energy is delivered directly to the hair root, minimizing any discomfort. Once the probe is inserted, a current/energy will be applied to destroy the hair/germ cells responsible for new hair growth.

Hair Removal: The treated hair is then easily and painlessly removed.

Repeated Sessions: Electrolysis typically requires multiple sessions to achieve permanent hair removal. This is because hair grows in different cycles, and electrolysis is most effective during the active growth phase. The number of sessions and frequency will vary based on individual factors.
